Better candidate won out.

Garrett is grossly overrated.
Hasn't done shit in the NFL
Raised an offense that chokes in playoff games
Has little experience

We get
About 12 years plus coaching experience
plus the college years

Clean slate

ST coaches seemingly do alright in the head seat.
(yeah, I swallowed the cool aid...but the list of HOF coaches that came from ST is impressive)

Like Shurmur as potential OC

Love to have Rex back, but I'll take an old bear 46'er like Rivera if Rex goes Oh Atlanta, or gets a tude.
