I was at the Miss Utah USA pageant and I'm very suprised that Soben won. She's pretty and cute, but I feel she does not have the poise to be Miss Utah USA or Miss USA. Obviously the judges saw something I missed as well as the people in my area of the audience. When Monica Richards (?) was annouced 1st runner-up everyone in my area gasped and said no way, there's a mistake. That's how I felt. Being Asian myself a friend of mine and I were speaking about the race if Miss Utahs as well as Miss USA before the pageant started. For awhile I haven't heard of a non white Miss Utah or an Asian/Cambodian Miss USA. Soben is pretty but her answers were shallow. Doing pageants and watching pageants for a long time I felt that her answers offered no insight to her personality. It showed she can give cutsey answers with no intelligence behind it. Her final answer was so reminiscent of Miss USA's final answer for 2005 that I actually was upset she gave that answer. It was basically the same answer. Her swimsuit showed of her not quite fit body and her gown did the same. The girl who got first runner up (I believe her name is Monica) should have won. Hopefully she will run next year. On the other hand, Liz Leyda did beautifully and I was pleased that she won Miss Teen Utah USA. She just needs to gain a little more confidence.
