Some would say that it would be a case of opposites attracting . I think its more of a case of finding something in one another they dont know that they are looking for . We know that despite themselves they do respect each other and out of respect insight .
In Cordy , Gunn will find some one not needing a protection or some one needing a fighter . Just a strong spirit and defiance of life and its tragedy that can strengthen him .

In Gunn , Cordy will find some one who will never be frightened of her or will see her flaws and accept them without question . He doesnt see Cordy spoile brat , Sunnydale terror but as a friend and some one who is not vaulable by what she has but what she does .
