I think you and your daughters will have a fantastic time! By all means try this pageant out. LN goes way out of her way to not only produce a Fun, Fantastic and Fair event, she is absolutely wonderful to her royalty! NJ of TFC is all heart and soul! Hope you have a fantastic time! I know this is going to be FUN FUN FUN!!!

We went last year to the Queen Mary, LN and her staff did a great job and everything was beautifully done, we left VERY HAPPY!

Correct! As advertised...everyone makes court and no one leaves empty handed. I don't think it's wrong to award every contestant a crown for the title they earned. That's my choice. Many systems in Cali have the same practice. I consider everyone royalty from the princess level on up to the Ult Grand Supreme! There were several divisional titles awarded last year as well as all supremes and most seemed very happy with they earned and received.

We had an excellent time with this pageant. I'd love to enter my daugter again this year. If I can get the money together, I defintely will. Her prizes are a cut above the rest. No cookie cutter crowns. They are all originals and custom designed. Also, anyone can win. They don't cater to any big names. This is one of the few remaining fair pageants.

The Final Crown is definately a great System. Fair, organized, on time, and LN is not only a great director, but a wonderful human being that I am proud to call my friend, even though we just met last year, and no, I don't see her often, but talk to her all the time. I will be giving up my title this year, but will definately be back next year to compete. Hope to see some new faces this year at Nationals!!!!

She is having it the same weekend as GG. The only kids competing are newbies and kids who mainly do prelims and smaller pageants and don't go to out of state Nationals. Last I heard there were more titles than titles. She would probably get more kids of she didn't put so much emphasis on Pro-Am. More and more kids are doing runway or talent and don't want to do pageants where Pro-am is such a big deal.

It's not to late and real easy to prepare for. All you need is a Party Wear dress- this can be Easter Style, Christmas, Church Style etc..., You will need a Casual Wear Outfit - this can be any fun type of outfit you would wear to lunch, birthday party, interview for the older girls etc... and don't forget to bring a photo the day of the pageant. Any photo will do just fine, black and white/color, head & shoulders preferably! For 7-26 Years you must do a talent to become eligible for the Overall Title. This can be anything form cheerleading to reading a poem that you have written, dance of any kind, karate also.

Anyone that hasn't signed their child up for the Final Crown is really going to miss out.. Lorie is fair and really cares about all of the kids that enter not just the royalty. This pageant needs your support it is a good system with honest, hard working, and caring people involved. Give it a try you will find NO COI and NO FAVORITES. Any type of swimsuit and any type of photo, glitz or natural will work, contestants are judged on their photogenic ability Not the quailty of the photo. Glitz or non-glitz swimwear is acceptable, OTR is an error on website that will be corrected.

We were thinking of Stage Beauties also. I have the paperwork - but don't know a darn thing about this pageant. They don't even have a web site. What is this one like does anyone know anything about it?

The mini-national and Nationals were both small BUT Maude paid out EVERY penny. Pageant is run great. It is about the prestige and the cash rather than the crowns. SMM won 6 & Up Novice Level II Supreme, JM won 0-5 Overall Model, 0-5 Overall Print Model & 0-5 Novice Level I Supreme, KTM won 7 & Up Beauty/Photo Supreme, 6 & Up Overall B/W Photo & 6 & Up Overall Comp Card. Grand Supremes were BR from AR, AR from NY and LB from AL. Mini Supremes were KK from MS, MW from MO and HD from KY. Then, Beauty/Photo Supremes were CR from AR & KTM from CA. All these Top 8 titles were right on.

So, great pageant and as a double-header, even better.

I know the money being prorated ect.., but why not titles, crowns and gifts. Its so annoying and you feel so cheated when you go home like you were just scammed.

Because they can do that. It is called pageant life. It makes it very frustrating when that happens, but they usually put it in fine print that if they dont get a certain amount of contestants then they prorate and combine. There arent very many pageants that are out there that dont do this. My dd and I went to prelim back in September of this year that did every thing they promised and gave away a bunch of nice gifts and huge crowns! I was very impressed, but that has been one of the only ones I have seen lately that is fair and does not prorate. I also saw a banner on the bravo board that this pageant system is putting on a winter prelim. I went to the website to view the paperwork. We are thinking of doing this one as well.If you are interested-

We did this system a few months ago. We had alot of fun and the director was very nice. Lunch was provided which was a really nice touch. The gifts were very nice. Cash prizes were pro rated, but the pageant was very small. We will be looking forward to doing another pageant in the future.

If memory serves me right (sleep deprived)I met one of the people involved with this at a prelim last year. They have a very fair system according to the other pms that were at that prelim. Helendale is high desert a bit north of Victorville. IME is difficult to drive in and out of at night or early am cause there is high winds. I wish they would move this to Palm Springs, Riverside County, or Corona, they would get a bigger turnout of southern ca girls.

There is nothing wrong with pro-rating - as long as it is advertised. You have GOT to read the paperwork -carefully. Surely a director can not give out $3000 in cash awards..if they only take in $1000 in fees... that is why they need "x" amount of contestants to cover all the expenses - not just the cost of the cash awards. I don't for a second think the majority of directors are out to trick a single sole - most of the time - it's all right in the paperwork. Pro-rating without it being in the paperwork however, is wrong, and the director should be called on it.

Now not giving out advertised titles however..is another issue. Sometimes however everyone that was "eligible" for a certain title (like a door supreme) may have bumped to a higher title - leaving that title unawarded. Gifts - well thats a tricky one - again all in the wording.. "Bag of Gifts" "Gift".. could be a matter of perception of what is expected based off past pageant experiences rather than what is received.

It's best to NOT leave the pageant if you have these questions, and just simply ask the director - calmly..what happened. I know nearly every director in Cali-and I'd have to say I can't think but maybe one or two who wouldn't take the time to explain things to you...but you have to ask. Going home and "what if'ing" the questions and getting angry - only makes things worse. :)

Thanks for the change to white font on black background. Much easier on the eyes. Good luck with your new board. I would not want to see this be a good vs bad issue between the two boards. There is nothing wrong with having multiple good choices .

Let me take the chance to introduce myself so that everyone can feel comfortable posting to this board.

For those of you who know me, you know that I can be told anything and it will be held in confidence. I want everyone to know first and foremost that everything on this board is CONFIDENTIAL. The board was set up so that even I as the Board Owner do not have access to anyone's email address or identity unless they post it within their message. The only thing that is revealed to me is the IP addresses but I can assure you that I will not ever reveal those. I don't have enough spare time on my hands to analyze every post to see which ones came from what IP address and then try to figure out where the IP address is from ....LOL. If anyone has any specific concerns they wish to have addressed, you can email me through the board admin link and I will get back to you within 24 hours.

The purpose of this board is for everyone to have a safe venue in which to express their views, feelings, etc about topics that interest and concern them. The only time a post will be removed is if it is in blatant violation of the rules I have set up.

A little about me for those of you who don't know me (which may be the majority as I know only a few pageant moms). My daughter is 10 and has been competing for the last 4 years. We just started doing the bigger national competitions last year. I have a full time job as a sales rep but it allows me the flexible schedule of being able to take my daughter to competitions. We really enjoy the extra time pageants give us together.

I love this format it's much better for a GBU board. All the BIG Banners was too much! I hope this board catches on, one thing who ever the owner of this board is I hope they are fair and honest and don't use their personal views to judge what is said.
