on monday morning my black mollie gave birth to 8 babies, but they wern't what you would call normal. they were still curled up into a ball just like they would be curled up in the mother. i sucked them up and squirked to see if any were alive...sure enough there was 3 alive. at 4 or 5 i went to see if she had more cause the mother was still pretty fat. there were about 4 more in there, i fed the mother and not even 5 min. later she had 3 more. it was like the more i fed her the more babies she would have. they were all curled up into a ball...some were alive but not many. by 7 or 8 she had 31 babies. now there are 5 alive and they are getting around good. i have had other mollies that had babies and they weren't as big as any of these ones. they have a yellow kind of a spot on them. kind of like they have their insides on the outside. i counted how many days before she had them and it was 44. is this a normal amount of days? and what should i do...do you think she has had her very first batch of babies? becky
