Subject: Hi everyone, wotcha all doin'?

Talk to me folks, tell me what you've been up to today and what you have planned for this evening, I need distraction, I cricked my neck, don't ask me how, it was just there this morning when I woke up, I was laying relaxed on my back so it wasn't like I was all twisted up with my head in a weird postion or anything, it's steadily got worse as the day has worn on, can't turn my head at all, bummer.

Anyway, apart from all that I just won ten quid on a lottery card, I never buy those things usually, this is only the second time I have so I suppose I should be pleased, wish it was more though, I need a nice long holiday in the sun but can't afford it right now unfortunatly.

I'm going to sit outside and try and get some hot sun on my neck, see if I can relax a little, a white chocolate Magnum seems like a good idea too!!

*hugs everyone*

I've spent the day feeling really crappy too. I had a headache most of the day and just generally felt in a bad mood, but I'm perking up now. Just making a quick stir fry for dinner, then out to the cinema to see Iron Man. I wouldn't normally go see a superhero movie, but we have a monthly cinema pass, so we may as well use it!

Hope your neck loosens up a bit. Can't believe you're having nice weather; it's been beautiful here all this week, then today it's been pissing down.

'cos the minute I went outside and got myself comfy with my Magnum and my laptop on my knee guess what? yep, started pissing it down!! can't win can I? Sorry you've been feeling down today, all day headaches take some getting rid of, glad you've started to feel better now, enjoy the film, not sure if I want to see it or not to be honest it's not really my type of film either, got some younger relatives who might want to go so we'll see.

[> Hi everyone -- DZR, 19:30:42 05/15/08 Thu [1] (86.152.149.173)

I feel crappy too. I have some kind of stomach bug. Of course in the wonderful world of small, fast-moving start-ups only losers take time off for being sick, so I've been at work anyway.

I've been trying to choose a graphic designer to work with us on the new UI, but the ones who are available just aren't that good, and the ones who I like either aren't available or are too expensive. I've now been told that I have to choose someone by end of tomorrow come what may which depresses me, as I think we'll end up with someone that I don't really feel will do as good a job as I'd like. Having spent months on the interaction design and the information architecture, and now having built it with, quite frankly, the two most talented developers I've ever worked with in my life, we have a user interface that I think is completely ground-breaking. To have it then end up not also looking absolutely amazing seems such a shame, but it looks like that may just have to be the case. Balls.

Once this phase of the work is finished I'll be going on holiday to San Sebastian, in the north of Spain in the Basque country. We'll fly into Bilbao and go to the Guggenheim, and then spend the rest of the time in San Sebastian which is incredibly beautiful, and is famous throughout Europe for its cuisine (it supposedly has the highest concentration of Michelin starred restaurants in world).

I think this most recent episode of BSG has really kicked it into the final phase of the story. Everything the hybrid said was so intriguing. Big things are about to happen. What are your thoughts, Kashy, now you're our published BSG expert?

Dollhouse is sounding more and more awesome each day. I can't believe we're going to have to wait until January for it.

The weather today has been horrible: torrential rain all day. I guess summer is over for this year. Crappy country.

San Sebastian sounds gorgeous, lucky you!

Hope you get a decent graphic designer, after all your hard work it would be a shame to have it less than perfect now.

January? we have to wait until January for Dollhouse? don't think I can stand it!

Woo hoo! At the last minute, too. I really like his work and he submit the most awesome pitch at the 11th hour:

Feeling much happier now (and the stomach bug seems to have passed too).

my favourite being the Magnum one of course!! I also found the Sony Ericsson, Mr Kipling and Go Orgasmic ones quite effective too.

But I think the one that really made me gasp out loud was Barnardo's, horrific but damned effective all the same.

Glad you're feeling better by the way :-)

I actually had a good day but then I got all moody and melancholy because of the emotional roller coaster I've been on lately. It sucks.

On the pro side, I had blueberries for lunch today, tomorrow there is Lost and in the evening I'm going to a concert.

San Sebastian! I am jealous. I am also jealous of cinema passes and winning in the lottery.

Stomach bugs are all over the place at work, lots of people absent

Wish I could buy a round of drinks for you all with my fantastic lottery win and cheer you up!!
