Now that I've got my blog going I've also bought a domain for it. So, in the domain manager section I've told the nameservers to forward for Wordpress (with the settings that Wordpress provided) and within Wordpress I've added the domain and made the new domain the primary domain. (If that makes sense!)

I know it might take a little while to take effect, but what I want is for people who type http://www.thetvlowdown.com to be taken to the blog.

Have I set things up correctly, or do I need to change something?

You realise it can take about 48 hours for changes like this to trickle through the DNS servers, right? Anyway the new domain worked fine for me -- took me straight to your blog.
