This is crazy. It ALWAYS guesses right for me, as long as I actually work out the calculation. I tried to trick it by not working it out and yeah, it gets it wrong, but as long as you do your sums it seems to always work.

It can't be anything to do with where you place your mouse cursor either, because I deliberately kept it away from the numbers.

This makes my brain hurt.

I don't think so!

only thing I've noticed is that if you don't bother doing the calculation at all and just click next until you get to the numbers the prizes change in each box every time, this is far too deep and comlex for me but I'm sure there's a perfectly logical explanation, maybe our resident web developer can shine some light on it for us?

The sum will always end up with a number that is a multiple of 9. And each time you do it, the grid changes, but if you check the same object is used for multiples of 9. So it will always guess it since there are in fact only 10 possible numbers that it could be, with the same object associated with each every time.

I have too much time on my hands...
