It's spring -- everyone has gone crazy, myself included. In the past couple of weeks I've literally had to fight off two different women who I was not attracted to in the slightest who launched themselves at me (separately, on different occasions, needless to say) like Exocet missiles. In the meantime the very pretty Canadian girl I have been flirting with, who recently broke up with her boyfriend, just totally floored me by introducing me to her new GIRLfriend. Last I checked she was straight and single. And before you say anything, obviously I have considered the possibility that this could just make everything even more interesting but sadly I don't see it going that way. The other person who is showing an interest in me is the extremely pretty Icelandic bar maid in my favourite bar -- she straight out asked me to ask her out for dinner more than once, and tried to get me to invite her back to my flat the other night, but she's NINETEEN. Yep. She's really hot but I think I'll just feel like a pervert if I go through with it.

you need to bottle whatever it is that's making women "launch" themselves at you, you'd make a fortune! as for the canadian bird that's a turn up for the book isn't it, did you have no clue at all? anyway never mind, you have a hot nineteen year old after you, that should boost your ego if nothing else, she is a little young though, it sounds like she has a girly crush on you so I think you're right in being wary.

The two women who launched themselves at me were not attractive at all. Really really not. If I bottled whatever was the cause I'd be sued.
The Canadian was a total surprise. I had no clue. I'm a little bit gutted.
The nineteen year old is ... just too young. I don't think it's a crush as such. It's weird. Basically the bar is very chic, kinda cool, mostly filled with an older but not old crowd, late twenties to early forties, mostly creative types or new media types or entrepeneurs, etc. I think she's a little overawed by the place in general, she's new there and new to Paris, and one way she thinks she can "fit in" with us all would be I guess to be having a fling with one of the regulars, and I'm single, reasonably charming when I want to be, I flirt (incorrigibly) and don't look like the back side of a bus.
But I am old enough to be her dad, and even though I am sorely tempted I think I'd feel a bit creepy if I actually did anything.
