and show it as its meant to be shown without any cuts, its hard enough to follow sometimes but if they miss out some of the rougher scenes and dialogue it will take away what's brilliant about it, saying that I'm thrilled the BBC have aquired it, at least there won't be any ad breaks to contend with.

I'm not sure if I understood the article correctly or not, but it sounded to me like they were planning on showing it marathon style, with an episode every evening. I think there are 60 episodes, so 5 episodes a week, Monday to Friday, with catchup repeats late Saturday and Sunday night and they've got nearly 3 months of super high quality material. That's quite a feather in the cap for the Beeb.

I have the first three seasons on dvd so I'm not too bothered, I'll set my cable box to record seasons four and five just in case I miss some, I wonder when they will be showing it?

For all the flak the Beeb get they do occasionally get it right don't they? if only they were more consistent I might not resent paying my licence fee!
