I've hated Heroes for both seasons 2 and 3. But I keep watching convinced it may get better at some point. But it is kind of fascinating watching someone destroy a brilliant show. Me and a friend think it's a postmodern joke, to see how far you can be completely inconsistent, even within a scene (there's a brilliant scene with Elle and Sylar in which their expressions and motivation seems to change with each shot) and still keep people watching,

Heroes has to go down in history as a show that had one of the best seasons of TV ever and self destructed to the extent that you wonder whether the showrunners have ever seen a TV show before.

And despite that, I still can't stop watching.

Maybe we can create a Heroes Watchers Anonymous 12 step programme. I'm really bad at leaving shows behind. I'm still watching 24, although this season has been an improvement on the abysmal previous one, and I'm still watching Lost even though I hated seasons 2 and 3, although I have to grudgingly admit that season 4 got better and I've actually been enjoying season 5. I swore I'd give up Heroes last season, and I'm still watching. I swear this season was some of the most terrible crap I've ever watched.

Just to end on an up note though, Dollhouse was absofuckinglutely spectacular last night. The show got off to a pretty crap start but the latter half has been incredible.
