Subject: The Snowpocalypse

Had a fun morning!

We've had weather warnings in the UK for the last few days, saying Monday would have some major snowfall.

Sure enough, last night it came. Very very pretty!

Got up early this morning to make sure we got to work on time. Trains were delayed, loads of tube lines suspended, ALL the buses in London cancelled, but we got to work fine on time.

I was literally the only person in the office for the first hour, then a couple of people turned up. I'm back home now though! We're supposed to have a huge snowstorm coming in about an hour, so I didn't wanna get stuck in central London by cancelled trains.

So I've an afternoon off, and the back garden looks beautiful! Gonna try and take some photos later. (The other bit of good news is that we might be snowed in tomorrow... Yay!)

Definitely the heaviest snow for years in the UK. I'm loving it! You off today Andy?

very bad here too, I also was worried about getting home ok so decided to play safe and stay here safe and warm. Not sure whether the big storm will affect us here as badly as it will down south, its snowing prettily heavily at the moment although we have had some clear periods this afternoon the bad weather shows no sign of going away, happy times!!

I'm looking out at the most beautiful scenery you could imagine right now, the hills and valleys beyond are almost completly covered, yet I know down in the towns and villages it's chaotic with folks still trying to get home, the snowfall is heavier than it has been all day, god knows what tomorrow will bring, the forecast says sleet rather than snow for my area but I don't see any sign of it yet.
