How long do you think you're going to stay? I forgot whether or not this was a permanent thing.

Stay in the flat or stay in Paris? -- DZR, 14:18:46 01/11/09 Sun [1] (83.157.134.218)
The Paris gig is open-ended -- I work for them as a contractor not an employee, so either of us can walk away whenever we want. But at the moment I'm loving it here, and they have more work than they can cope with and I definitely fill a gap in their skill-set, there isn't anyone else in the company who really does what I do.
As far as the flat goes, it too is kinda a casual open-ended thing. Patrick and I decided I'd stay here for a while and see how it goes. As you can see from the photos he hasn't moved a lot of his stuff out yet, partly I think because he likes the idea of having his own place to escape to, even though he lives with his girlfriend now. (Poor girl -- Patrick is one of those guys. Women seem to find him irresistible. I imagine for most girls he'd be the fling from heaven but the boyfriend from hell.) I'll almost certainly stay here for a few months, and then maybe we'll make it more permanent or maybe I'll move on to another flat (maybe even buy my own, the proceeds from selling my Edinburgh flat are just sitting in the bank at the moment) and Patrick will have his bachelor pad back.

I'm glad you're loving it! I'm such a homebody, I imagine I'd be quite homesick staying in Paris so long, no matter how awesome it is. :/

I'm the opposite -- DZR, 13:36:42 01/12/09 Mon [1] (62.240.244.114)
Wherever I lay my hat ... as the song goes. Although I'd prefer to be in a place I owned or at least had all my stuff in it (as opposed to it being in storage like it currently is).

I wish I could feel the same as you.......... -- andypandy, 13:51:56 01/12/09 Mon [1] (161.112.232.36)
I have to "move on" but I'm dreading it to be honest, I've been here a long time but its time for a change, I'm very wimpy about it though and keep changing my mind.

Does "move on" really have to entail "move out"? -- DZR, 13:55:34 01/12/09 Mon [1] (62.240.244.114)

Yeah I think it does -- andypandy, 14:03:34 01/12/09 Mon [1] (161.112.232.36)
I need a fresh start, somewhere smaller really, a lot of memories here are a painful reminder, I'm just not comfortable any more and need somewhere just to make my own with no baggage.
