Subject: Richard Quest (CNN Business Travel)?

So I was having a drink with some Americans last night and suddenly one of them said "Wait a minute, I've got it, now I know who you remind me of, you sound EXACTLY like Richard Quest, the CNN business travel guy." At which point everyone else said "Oh my God, he does!" and then they all fell about laughing.

I have never heard of Richard Quest before, and certainly haven't *heard* him, but as they all seemed to think it was hilarious I have decided that I definitely don't sound anything like him.

Is this guy famous for having a funny voice or something?

btw...he is now famous...because he was arrested looking a bit...disheveled in central park...with crystal meth. given where he was in central park...it's believed he's probably gay.

I don't know him either. Was that your voice on a vid you posted ages ago of a party when you worked for 82ask? If so it sounded pretty normal southern accent to me, actually it sounded a bit posh, but then I'm a northerner so it would do!

I don't remember the video. Kashy and Richard have actually met me, so they'd be better at saying what sort of accent I have. I thought I had a fairly standard south of England accent, with the occasional bit of London thrown in. But what would I know?
