Parisian girls are incredible -- effortlessly chic. I've had a couple of flings since I've been here, but both times with American girls! (I always seem to have good luck with American girls, they like my accent and sense of humour.) I'm working on my grand plan to get myself a Parisian girlfriend, trouble is my French is still crappy -- everyone in the office just speaks English.
It's Armistice Day which is a public holiday here in France. I'm in the office using the internet connection just for personal stuff (downloading TV shows, writing emails to my family, browsing).

i go in tomorrow morning to get my band filled. it's been several months since i did so. i've been gunshy...but it's far overdue. i haven't lost a pound in two weeks. i'm still struggling getting my ass exercising. i can mentally talk myself out of any and everything...and i've done so with exercise. i hope to lose 30 pounds in the next 6 weeks. i'm hoping to punch it into high gear. if i can do it in cold snuggly weather...i can do it all the time. plus...i'm enjoying buying cuter sassier clothes. and wearin' high heels.
job is...*sigh*. very boring. i'm a hard worker and i like to be stressed. i'm not challenged at all and i feel like my brain is turning to mush. plus...i've known my boss for 15 years...and i swear he just brought me on to socialize with me...use me as the office comic. blurgh. plus...holy hell but faculty are retarded. they couldn't come together to get something done if i put a gun to their heads.
jude got all A's cept for math. he got my math defect. poor guy. he got a B so i was still proud...but we're gonna have to ramp it up.
annnnnnnnd...i'm fallin' for a younger dude at work. *rolls eyes at self* i'm so beyond inappropriate. i smacked him on the arse...a reflex...and was so mortified afterwards i was speechless. Actually, I suppose it depends on how closely you work with him. I wouldn't worry about him being younger, unless he's so much younger that it's icky. All the women I date are quite a lot younger than me -- mainly because there are more singles in their twenties than there are in their thirties.

Uni is okay. I'm not really motivated at the moment and I'm finding it really hard to concentrate because of personal issues but I'm really glad I've got friends here, I'd probably be in a huge funk if I didn't have them around. The personal issues are partly due to guy trouble, saw my ex last week when we went to a concert together and it was hard. If you remember there was this thing with another guy and ugh, it's one big mess now. I'm not even sure why but apparently we're hardly on speaking terms anymore and it bothers me a good deal more than I'd like. There are a few halfway decent guys in Lucerne but none of them really interest me and it's not like I'd really have time anyway. Oh, and I'm sort of sick at the moment.

My nephew is recovering from pneumonia and his school band just won 1st place in a competition. He's 17 and a senior.
My mom is doing better. Her doc was pleased with her 2 month check up after radiation. We'll just keep our fingers crossed and wade through. Me & the neph are going to Colorado for Christmas to visit her.
Work is good, I work with the most wonderful people.

The first interview went well. I got a second interview, which was more difficult, and am now just waiting to see whether I get a third interview.
All seems a bit OTT for a job when I wasn't really looking to get another one, but will be exciting to see how it goes.
