Taking it easy, I hope. I'm frazzled. Up until last week I've been working like a crazy person, never leaving the office until late at night. The UEFA pitch was last Friday, and Thursday I was in the office until 4am and then back in the office at 9am Friday morning. The pitch went well, and we'll see soon what they want us to do. The weekend I partied to make up for all the work, and so this week I've just been shattered. Thankfully it's been a bit more low-key this week, sort of the eye of the hurricane. We're preparing for a Dolce and Gabbana pitch, and then there is more work for Rolex and UEFA.

So I'm thinking of a lazy weekend with lots of sleeping, eating, and precious little else.

Oh, BTW it was Fashion Week here all this week. It took place in the Louvre and in the Jardins du Palais Royal. In other words, exactly where I live. I couldn't walk out of my door without tripping over models. As far as I can tell the only thing fictional about The Devil Wears Prada was the Anne Hathaway character. There were lots of scary women, super fashionable, horrendously skinny, and with "BITCH ON WHEELS" all over their face.

Last weekend we (the company) went to this super swanky Parisian club called the Cha Cha Club:

http://www.naughtyparisguide.com/naughty-blog/2008/8/10/the-chacha-club.html

We heard that some friends of ours were nearby and so told them to join us, but a few minutes later they were stuck outside and said they couldn't get in. So we spoke to our waitress (all the waitresses look like supermodels) and asked her to go and let our friend join us, and she said "Oh, it's after 11pm now and the door policy has changed. We can't let anyone in until the physiognimiste [sp?] arrives."

The physiognimiste! That's actually the person's job title. They're completely blatant about it. Literally: face checker. Only in Paris.
