Subject: That's the trouble with mobile phones
In reply to: Gabs 's message, "Oh shit!" on 09:12:58 06/05/08 Thu

You end up with a whole bunch of data on them that you can't get off again. Why you can't save your SMS and MMS messages and transfer them to a new phone is beyond me.

For me now it is an absolute requirement that any future phone of mine seamlessly syncs with the tools I use on my computer -- addresses, calendars, music, photos, video. Now as a Mac user that sort of makes the iPhone a no-brainer, but if Apple suddenly vanished off the face of the Earth tomorrow I'd still want the same thing: whatever phone I had I would want to just connect it to my computer and have everything on it instantly sync, so I would never lose data ever again and transferring data on to a new phone would be simplicity itself.

I can't believe how hard it still seems to be to do that. (Which is what is cool about ZYB -- what a pity they don't support your phone!)

I love the idea of ZYB and I'm definitely making sure my next phone will be compatible. Maybe an iPhone, it sure is tempting...

Btw I added a photo on Facebook, so now you can't complain anymore! ;-)
