I'm still awake too, just had a long talk with my sister - she came home in tears, it seems that there were two 16-year old guys in the train compartment next to her who kept making deragatory and vulgar comments about her all the way home. For half an hour she was stuck with them, and came home incredibly frustrated for not reacting and just ignoring them when it was making her so uncomfortable. At first she wasn't even sure they were talking about her, then she thought they'd shut up soon and she'd be best off ignoring them, and when they didn't let up she (being of an extremely fretful disposition) worried that defending herself might just be an unnecessary risk, that that situation might escalate and that she might get hurt, even though there were other people in the well-lit train, and they were only boys... She's so angry with herself for allowing them to put her down like that and making her feel so helpless, and that she's blaming herself makes her angrier at the boys. *sigh*

Teen boys are full of shit (no offense meant to Vince, Tee - I'm sure he's the exception to the rule)!

Now I'm going to bed, I hope your meeting goes well, Andy! I'll cross my fingers for you.

I hope it goes well too, feeling really sleepy now so I'm hoping I'll drop off soon.

Teenage boys are a pain in the arse, not surprised your sister feels frustrated and angry, little shits, it's hard to know what to do although I think it's probably best to stay silent in today's climate, 16 year olds could do a lot of damage if they lost control it shouldn't be that way but you have to think of your safety at all costs.

its hard to stay silent when you are feeling so angry and insulted,it must have been really horrible for her poor girl, I hope she's feeling a little better today.

The meeting went surprisingly well thankyou, only lasted an hour, started a 8 this morning, I was back at my desk at 9 so trauma over and a good result for our department as a whole, just been out for a long walk around the campus and had a nice lunch with friends, need to get on with some actual work now!!
