I graduated Canarsie High in 1980 but knew a member of the first graduating class. Her name was Susan Riggio and sad to say she passed away this past year. I did not know her well but she impressed me as a really nice person and never let on she was so ill. So sad to see good people pass away so young and a reminder to all of us to live life to its fullest possible because we don't know what tomorrow will bring. Appreciate the good times, friends, and family. Susan was my insurance agent for about 5 years and lived near my parents so we had some in common - all from Canarsie and she & her husband ended up living close to where my parents later settled. We had dinner with her a few times and occasionally bumped into her at local restaurants in my parents area. I seldom check in here so feel free to email me if you knew her back then. Sorry to be the messenger of bad news but thought perhaps someone(s) out there would want to know.
