Poor poor mikey. trapped in that tiny world that is his own mind. Look, My African American family has lived within a stone's throw of the old Bamboo Lounge since 1955. I graduated from Canarsie H.S.(lettered in track/football, honor society) and before that, could have gone to either Bildersee or Wilson Junior high because we moved acrosss the line at that time. And Im not from the 'projects' either. I also have watched what has happened to Canarsie over the years, and I agree, not all of it has been good. (though Original Pizza on 'The L 'was the best )The problem isnt the color of your neighbor's skin. There have always been black people in your (our) neighborhood. Your ignorant, prehistoric, bigoted unimaginative, view of your Canarsie-world is, how do I say it, so STOOOOOOPID. As a black kid growing up in Canarsie I had to deal with members of your brainless tribe every day. Fortunately, the people of Canarsie are better than you. A couple of my brothers married EYEtalian girls from Canarsie (thats what they are called where I live now) and their families (and I mean families in more ways than one) have accepted that. We all party together on holidays. I dont know how old you are but, if you are young enough, maybe I partied with your mama after dark in Canarsie Park. Grow up mikey, and drive that Camaro/(or big mufflered Civic) across the Brooklyn Bridge and see the real world. LOL
