I went to Camp Recro from about 1954-1960 (my school was P.S. 180). I remember there was a guy we used to call Mucho Cool who played Taps. Mr. Myles was the director, his son Phil the swimming instructor, Jerry Spitzer was a head counselor (though a guy named Paul, who had the job before him, was a lot nicer). Campers included Mal Cohen (I think he went into insurance), Richie Walter (became a film instructor and author, I think--big publicity splash on a novel a year or two ago), Vic Schwartz. If you were there around the same time I was, I did some music around the campfire, played guitar. Thought we had it about right the way we borrowed the land from the Cohasset Indians and gave it back at the end of the years (big ceremony with counselors playing the Indians--coming in off the lake in canoes). Lots of good memories from that camp--the camp song, the mess hall, Color Wars, Maneuvers (which preceded color wars until somebody fell off a large boulder and broke his arm--that ended Maneuvers), eventually Olympics. Would enjoy hearing from you. My home email address is stevewax@cox.net.
