Hi Maria,
This is Deb, Lou's daughter. This was SO touching and it could not have come at a better time. I'm sorry, but my dad passed away five years ago. He was 84 at the time. My dad was blessed with two grandchildren, a boy and a girl before he died and that was his greatest thrill.
I remember my dad used to talk about you all the time. He thought SO highly of you and always wanted the best for you. He truly considered you a friend.
Your search brought me to warm tears. He was a wonderful man and it is so beautiful to know that others knew him that way, too.
Thank you for making my day. You will not understand how touching this is to me. And, I am so sorry that he didn't get to say "goodbye" to you. I know this letter would have meant as much to him as it does to me and my sister.
Please feel free to contact me anytime if you'd like.

Really.... thank you.
