My step father Charles Kottler died this weekend
his sons were Micheal and Mark aka Cuzzy or Cuzzriod as he was called when everyone hung out in 272 park coney island joes ect in the 60s
Charlie owned his own insuransce company he insured alot of stores in canarsie like GRABSTIENS Del DEIOS the BAMBOO LOUNGE and every other store there and all voer brooklyn and the city
His clocks were in all the stores
He was a prominate menber of the comunity
his home was 101-12 Ave L till he moved after my mom Arline died in 89
His company was CK INSURANSE
he reconnected with alot fo people after i posted his name on this and the other canarsie website he told me
He got the flu though he had gotten his flu shot and got puenomia had to go to the ICU unit and his lungs went out.He left a living will and stated he didnt want to be left on life support. SO he died this Saturday in FLorida were he has been living the past 7? years
Since he was so well known and friends with so many and with parents of friends who have contacted me though this site I thought Id post this
the service was in florida but he was flown to NY and is now buried next to my mother Arline Kottler in monterfloir cemetary in Pinelong LI
they were soul mates
if anyone wants any more info or has any photos of CK please write me!
