~+~*Kashiko signaled for the remainder of the group to join her, as a deck of cards appeared from nowhere. Kohiro picked up one of the replica cards and compared it side-by-side with its genuine counterpart. You had seen the Pyralis card before- the replica truly was very accurate, with a lack of detail work being its only real flaw.*~+~

Kohiro- Who made these? They seem fairly accurate...

Kashiko- Faelin said she found them with a vendor in Ashavar. He was trying to sell them as the real thing. Anyway, you two already know how to play, right? It's essentially the same, just without the actual summoning aspect since none of us would be able to do that.

~+~*Kohiro put the real card away as Kashiko set about seperating the deck into three to explain the rules. The decks were divided as 90, 50, and 3. She turned up the top card on each stack.*~+~

Kashiko- This was an Ahr'Teyan card game that they passed down to the Dragon Keepers along with the two decks that were in their city. It's pretty much like most card games from places that you grew up- only there would be an actual summoning aspect to the play. We'll have to omit that part since the only two people here who could do that would be Kiyoshi and Kohiro. SO. It's meant for four people, so I'll sit out and act as the dealer. Everyone not playing is more than welcome to coach- it was actually recommended when more people than the players had something depending on the outcome.

~+~*Niwa took one of the player seats between Cye and Landon, while Kiyoshi took the other.*~+~

While actually playing, all of these will be mixed together. These, the large stack, are playing cards. They represent creatures, guardians, beasts, and people that have been sealed into the cards over the ages.

All of their names are writen in archaic Ahr'Teyan, so some of the words aren't used anymore- but the general thought behind them remains the same. Pyralis, the Wolf here, is an example of a creature card. He's frairly well balanced, but his true power is in sound. Since you aren't familiar with all of the cards, you can ask me or the twins about them before you actually play one.

The second set here are spells. You play those on top of your creature cards to create effects and special powers- just like using the real cards in battle. This one on top is Naru'Onia, which translates to... umm...

Kiyoshi- Soul Flame.

Kashiko- Yes, thank you. Basically, when used right, it can replicate any number of effects to cause or prevent damage. Not all creatures can use it safely.

This other deck represents base actions. The one on top is Senko, magic- though there are Attack and Defense cards below it. They aren't needed to act, though they each have a special event when played. Magic, for example, limits the remainder of attacks played through the next several turns to Magic-Only and is only broken when a physical attack spell is played.

Each player gets five cards- I'll deal face up this round.

~+~*She shuffled the cards together, and then dealt five cards face-up to each person.

Cye ended up with all beast cards- Aya'Nian (With two dragons on the front), Pyralis (The wolf card), Argo'Kha (With a Nitemare pictured), Jueriana (A winged lynx), and Kallie (a giant).

Landon got three beasts, and two spells. Kheo'Piel (Taurus), Aesir (The Faerie Dragon), Tee'Nidra (The Ahr'Teyan Priestess), Veruun (Ice), and Yuru'Lani (Seek).

Niwa got four beasts and and event card. Tchyo'Ju (Leo), Callidor (The Demon), Minida (The Phoenix), Akaysha (The Basilisk), and Alulor (Defense).

Kiyoshi was dealt four beasts and a spell. Lie'Nia (The Mermaid), Fi’Lian (The Tree), Kahni (The Hated),Meia (The Lost), and Alainakore (Wind).*~+~

Kashiko- Firstly- any questions about those cards and what they do?
