(She knew he was mixed up about things, but didn't know he was so mixed up.. it just sort of frustrated her that things had to play out this way.. for both of them. It wasn't fair to anyone involved and was just another point on her list of life's little ironies. It was as though she had really pissed off her guardian angel, cause she was getting screwed royally in every area of her life.
