(He was in such a thoughtful 'funk' that he just sort of let her tug him down into the warm water, his thoughts on the fact that if he were at home he wouldnt be able to let her go.) Remy cares too much about his friends, Haylie.. he would never let me go back into the field so long as there was a single issue with my hand. I am damn surprised he let me come on this mission considering everything, and probably only because I was on adrenaline at the time and was able to fudge my physical. (He let out a breath, idly running his right hand back through his dark hair. This was really bad timing.. here he was back on Haylie's good graces and completely ready to sink back into a close and intimate relationship with her.. when he was going to have to face possible withdrawel of his field capabilties.) If he cuts me from the team he knows I will go insane. (And not because he would feel left out.. but because he would miss her and worry himself sick about her.)
