(He let out a sigh, figures she would be haugty.. little miss princess here was going to drive him insane he was sure.) Don't shoot the messenger, sweetheart. (He said in the same dry tone, watching her as she tried to look strong, while barely pulling off living. With another sigh, he walked over to her and shifted his weight a little.) Put your arms around my neck. (He said softly, then picked her up before she could protest, which he had a feeling she would. She had all the makings of a spitfire, and though women like that usually got him going.. this one was too young, too thin and too closely tight with royalty for his tastes. As he carried her down the stairs and out to his waiting SUV, he spoke in a low voice, his deep brogue soothing.) I wasn't sure if tweedle-dum in there had thought to get some clothes and things together for you or not. (He explained as he shifted a hand to open the passenger door and carefully set her in the seat, leaning over her to buckle the seatbelt before shutting the door and shoving his hands into his pockets as he crossed to get into the drivers seat.)

She shook her head and was about to argue but when he lifted her up, the warmth of his strong body and the support of his equally strong arms had her just melting into his broad chest, her head going to his shoulder with her arms around his neck. A low sigh escaped her lips before she spoke, her voice a little less bitchy and a bit more soft, the sound of her voice worked perfectly with her lilting scottish brogue, the accent caressed each word before releasing it from her lips in a very appealing way. "Nay...I donna have an'thing but the clothes that are on my back.." She felt dirty as well as tired and aching, she just wanted a long hot bath, some fresh clothes and enough food to make her feel full again. A soda would be nice too.
