(He pulled her against him as she shifted into his arms, running his hand over her back lightly and pressing an absent kiss against her forehead.) I don't think it's that, I've spent days awake on missions before and never felt like this. It's just so draining to endure the kind of torment we both have today. (He couldn't even list all the things that had happened to him that day and decided not to when he remembered the dark bruise on his jaw from Kyrian.. it was just too mixed up.) I'm so sorry all this happened to you.. I didn't want to meet up with you again under circumstances like this, but I am glad that I can be here for you now. (He admitted, leaning his cheek against her forehead as he held her, eyes half hooded.) (He tried not to let his mind wander to just how much better it would feel to be in a hottub with her, but it was just so easy and her little smirk didn't make it much easier.. he just wanted to kiss that smug expression off her face.) Okay then, I'll meet you down there in a little bit. (He glanced towards Remy and Shay's room and silently sent up a prayer for them before closing the door behind her. He pressed the button for the elevator and was surprised that it was still on their floor.) That never happens. (He said with a small laugh, holding the door for her. He pressed the lobby button and then leaned back so she could select her own, crossing his arms over his chest and sighing. When the doors opened at her floor he smiled.) See you in a bit. (He said with a wink, watching her walk off with a self-indulgant sigh.. she was definitely a fine piece of work.)
