He was tearing apart her self confidence in a way that no one had been able to before, reducing her to confusion and hurt that often was released as a snarky type of anger. She bit her lip lightly, waiting for his reply as her fingers delicately traced the tattoo on his arm, her eyes focused on that instead of looking at his face.
