  • She looked at him for a moment before she stood, going to make sure the door was locked before she turned off the lights in the suite and then entered back into the room, turning off the light in there also. When the room was flooded with darkness other then that coming through the window she took a deep breath and stretched out on the bed, drawing the comforter over her body. It felt strange to lay in bed next to him without touching him, it felt like there was a mile between them. "I know you'll do everything you can to protect me from whoever is doing this."
