Subject: Nostagic Songs

Do you really think that when the Dead Milkmen wrote Punk Rock Girl, they imagined a 31 year old woman screaming it at the top of her lungs with her window down in her yuppified SUV on the way to work?

What older song do you love, but feel totally out of place with now that we're older? Songs of youth people!

Hmmm...Constantinople by They Might Be Giants. That song is the best.

The only one that really comes to mind is "Stealing People's Mail" by The Dead Kennedy's. I mean I was listening to that in high school or even "6060842" by the B'52's.

You know I drive to work every morning singing at the top of my lungs to whatever is in my CD player....most people cannot imagine a 40 year old, accountant, Female singing a NIN song, driving by the way a yuppified SUV as well.

Yeah, singing in the car is the best!! No critical audience to burst your bubble.

As for songs being sung in strange places, I'm sure Chris never imagined Call me A Dog or Wooden Jesus being performed to an unappreciative group of cows and calves.
