Subject: Sharing

I never have what I perceive to be, any poitives to add to your discussions. Recently my son won an award for his writing, so i thought i share his little poem with all of you.

"Flower"
Streaks of vibrant colors swirl within long highways that stretch into the unknown.

A large portion of honey mustard has been entwined with the highways, making that once known splash alter its form into an all powering wave.

Noteworthy sunrays stretch along the highways, giving the colors another wonderful twist.

Cant all highways be wonderful splashes of vibrant and beautiful colors instead of having large trucks kick dust in your face?

(M.B. age 10)

i know he's no hemmingway, but i was proud of him none the less. take care!

Like father, like son.

Its a wonderful poem. Thanks for sharing.

I believe you can always add something to our discussions, positivity is overrated...

i liked the part about the honey mustard and the highway, i am in too silly a mood though, cuz all "i am the highway" was playing as background music in my head while reading this, as well as psychedelic driving images.

nice though, very colorful, and interesting.

and i'm with you leo, positivity can definitely be overrrated, especially when it's that fakey kind. i worked with this chick once and i swear to god she always seemed all happy and perky and was always singing. when i came into work she'd sing my name into whatever classic rock love song was on the radio right then, and she did that with everyone. it was enough to make you puke! i mean it was really over the top where you knew there had to be mroe going on. of course it turns out like, her husband had some serious medical problems that they couldn't possibly afford to deal with and were each workint too jobs to even try and their marraige was kinda fucked up and supposedly he was a real arrogant asshole (around town, that is) and all this other shit. so i guess i don't trust super positive, it seems too suspicious to me.

i mean like, things going well is one thing, but the overly positive can be annoying. it even bugs me like when say something bad has just h appened and ppl go so out of their way to be so positive about it, cuz i think then we fail to meet ppl where they really are, but that is just me going off on my high horse. guess it all comes down to sincerity, which i'd think is always welcome here.

anyway, right on to your kid for winning, and i can totally see the resemblance in writing style in parts of that.

lolol i'm feeling a little manic these days so forgive me for being too positive, lol.

nice. what's so wonderful about art
and writing is that ya start with nothing,
and create something. kudos to your kid.
