(Windsor) President and Owner Steve Riolo today announced that after 18 years of ownership of the Windsor Spitfires he has sold the team to a local group including Bob Boughner, Warren Rychel and Peter Dobrich.

The Riolo�s were longest serving single family owner in the Ontario Hockey League.

He was part of a group of 4 businessmen, Vic Gabriele, Ray Pittao, John Lot, that were assembled by Vince Bassman to buy the team during the 1988-89 season from Compuware, keeping the team in Windsor. Prior to the 1993 hockey season Steve along with Vic Gabriele bought out the other partners. Prior to the 1996 hockey season the Riolo�s bought out Vic Gabriele to become the sole owner.
