Hmm, makes me wonder how well I know the game...

I had always assumed that a ship could only do one of the possible actions (fire,move,defend,etc.) each phase. In most cases there is only one possible action (the order the ship was given). But the floating mines are different. They are initially given the AB command, but then combine that with moving. So I suppose it's possible they could move AND ambush in the same phase. ("Engage" is a command where a ship might move and shoot in the same phase...)

But we are also assuming that the mine's movement is spread across the 3 phases like a normal ship. Maybe it only moves at the end of the turn.

Bottom line: I'm happy the mine was 23 units away!
