Thanks guys! This game lasted a bit too long because of the missing Ring Source and the Two Rings at same location to End Game SA. I am glad that the game ended - and of the win of course.
Poor Steve had the bad coincidence of the missing Ring Source and his over-active Imperial Scholars. Being the victim of 3 strong empires and still living at the end of the game is still a very good performance. To be honest, I just wanted the ring, but his strong retaliations forced me to throw more and more war ships into his direction. I even had to make 'secure zones' around some Trading Planets, capturing planets and attacking trading ships, which isn't my style normally.
My beloved enemy Claus was nearly annihilated by Mike this game, as far as I can see in the final results. Capturing too many planets to get every ones attention and not having enough war ships to defend them seems to be a wrong tactic...
