Subject: New Book on the Red River Campaign

Well, this may be the best one yet by Gary Joiner, Poet Laureate of the Red River Campaign.
The title is Little to Eat and Thin Mud to Drink - see the details here: http://utpress.org/a/searchdetails.php?jobno=T01198&authorsm=Joiner,%20Gary%20D.

This one uses two main diaries to document what the soldiers went through - and if it sounds familiar...well, it probably should, as we just marched in their footsteps in an area where time stands still. I just started reading and its a good one.
