Robert,

Glad to know you; actually, I haven't been out to Anadarko in awhile (I live in OKC), and so I will likely take you up on your offer for a tour--sounds cool. I wish the folks at Indian City U.S.A. knew more about the Tonkawa massacre, since I guess they own some of the site...Man, you'll have to show me around Fort Cobb, too, if you're willing. I've driven around down there, but haven't really been able to learn much...

Maybe we have met; back in '99, I believe, Alan Huffines and I went up to the agency there and one by Lawton (Kiowa) to talk with tribal historians for a book he is working on about the "Elm Creek Raid," 1864. We had a great time touring the Clear Fork area where he grew up; I love doing that with people who know the area....

Another historian friend of mine got interested in traditional Wichita agriculture over the winter break, and we're wanting to plant some of the same varieties using the same method, maybe this spring...know anything about this stuff (know that's below the dignity of a horse culture people, sorry)? I'm actually out the door to spend a long weekend with Fischer and some cute gals he knows down in San Antonio--be back Tuesday, and I'll give you a shout next week, likely. Oh, yeah, and by the way, I got the hook up on Latinas; I speak Spanish, and can introduce you to a lot of nice Mexican girls in OKC ha ha...

Have a good weekend,
John Schwarz
