We appreciate your kind words Chris.

This event has had many challenges, including a change of date, site, organizer, and some command staff, and a lot of internal switching of who is doing which job.

I think I'm the only person with the same task assignment that I took on more than two years ago, shortly after NSA's Battle of Frankin.

As planning unfolded, changes in the overall economy made it evident that the bulk of the army would not be able to commit to the full week envisioned when this event was first laid on the table. Folks rarely have that much time available these days.

So, its comes as a bit of a surprise to me that while I planned to be on site Sunday to Sunday, I figured I would not have much company in that.

Instead, the bulk of the civilian participants will be in place for the full week. While our tasks and physical effort are radically different from that of an army on the move, its still a facinating effort, and one to which we are certainly looking forward.

And, I keep hearing some deep rumblings of an event where civilians will be mobile for a full week just a few more years down the pike.

Would that the dye that refreshes my hair could also give youth to my joints for such an effort.

Kind Regards,
Mrs. Lawson
