Now now Silas, you need to be reading Ms. Betts scholarly treatise "A Sociable Dip". I had to work long and hard to get that part of my impression up to .......welll...snuff.

Anyone who saw how utterly green I turned at Corinth when my lipful overwhelmed me will realize it is strictly a period thing.

And the Kind and Patient Mr. Musgrove has a price on my head if I have a lipful of baccy at any event where he is present.
