Doug,

This member of the 69th NYSV is taking a leave of NYC on a Saturday St. Patrick's Day Parade for this event.

In fact, the commander of the "real" 69th New York has invited the reenactors to stay overnight at the Armory on cots up in the squad rooms this year and have us join the active battalion for an early breakfast (a first).

Still, this trip is my vacation before my new job, so it's worth it.
