Subject: Another Good Book

Folks recently picked up another good book. It deals with what happened before the Red River disaster. Talks about the various attempts along the Texas coast and the underlining importance of the folks in Washington to make a presense in Texas. Even talks about Lincoln overruling Grant about Mobile, due to the concerns about France.
Anyways its called "The Yankee Invasion of Texas" by Stephen A. Townsend published by Texas A and M press.

P.S. It was quite amazing to hear of the hundreds of yankee ships in Bagdad Mexico trading arms for cotton.
