The drive to Rich Mountain was 20 hours one way for me and for the ones coming from deep in the heart of Texas, it was closer to 30. Oh, well, so it goes. Sleep, or the lack of it over a four day period will probably test the mettle of many. I know it will test mine, but that is what I remember the most about real soldiering, lack of sleep, always tired, and the ability to fall asleep in a matter of seconds. Should be fun.
