I am happy for Chelsea. At times, I think she is not taken seriously and is overlooked because of her small stature. She is a lovely girl with a big voice. I am happy she has an opportunity to return to Miss Alabama in June. Contestants, be patient and positive. The numbers are low this pageant season. It has been shared that some veterans, who have not aged out will not return. I think there is a preliminary that God has in his plan for each contestant. If your contestant does not win, don't give up. Just go back to the drawing board, work on the areas of weakness and keep going. Isabella Powell is a great example of perseverance. Sometimes she places and sometimes she doesn’t. However, Isabella makes changes and keeps going. Everything, negative does not need to be shared on here. If bashing is your way, share with a friend not on this message board. Good luck to all contestants. God is faithful. Remember: No weapons formed against you shall prosper. Do not let the negative comments affect your self esteem. I am honest with my daughter. She knows if she needs to fix or work on something, I will be the first to tell. Perhaps, mothers of contestants should have the same pact, therefore, the negative comments on this message board will have no impact on her as her mother is her best resource and guide.

Thank you so much for sharing this information about the cyber-bullies bashing contestants who are a threat. I greatly appreciate this information.

No one is intimidated or cyber bullies on this board. We want the best for our state. If you can't stand the critique, get OFF the boards and watch some cartoons.

And you think the best way to do that is to come on this board and trash hardworking young women? How sad and juvenile.

Why don't you just start your own forum if you are man or woman enough to do it and call it like it is, "Bashing Board". If you really want the best for the state, when you or your contestant does not win, why not go an offer your expert advice in an humble way and be a positive influence.

Anyone who claims they are "offering constructive comments" on these boards solely for the betterment of the Miss Alabama system must be uneducated idiots. Do you really think this is an asset to the system? Just because your contestant of choice didn't win you choose to "offer constructive comments" to let everyone know that your contestant should have been chosen. Not so long ago "your type" was bashing Caitlyn Brunell unmercifully and look how she represented this State at Miss America. For this individual / individuals who live to "offer constructive comments" after each pageant, remember that your comments could be construed as slander which is illegal in the US. Of course you'll scream that you have freedom of speech that protects "your type". However, freedom of speech ends when you slander an individuals name or good character. And, your IP address can be obtained by means of court order if your "constructive comments" are deemed slanderous. Then, everyone will know your idenity and can deal with you on a more personal level. Have a good day, if that's possible, all you miserable malcontents who live to criticize.
