However, before I tell you why you might fit that criterion; I need to ask you one important question, do you support the "political dogma" of the "4" Democratic presidential hopefuls who continually state publicly that S.S. privatization accounts are too "RISKY" to let America's workforce participate in? By your reading this you know I 100% disagree with all of them on said issue. Anyway, once you finish this letter, please just look up on YouTube, Social Security plan, and listen to what I have to say about America's workers investing some of their "OWN" S.S. taxes into “100% safe”, not 99.98% safe, 100% safe S.S. privatization so-called "TURTLE" accounts, your very own personalized S.S. "LOCK BOX", as well. In fact, how confident am I, enough to put forth a "DAVID vs. GOLIATH challenge" to any one of the 3 leading Democrats to "DEFEND" their own political position on said, S.S. privatization account issue, I suggest at a College / University of their choice. Unfortunately, without your "political pressure on them", I do not think any one of the "3" leading Democrats will have the "POLITICAL WILLPOWER” to "STAND-UP" and "DEFEND THEIR POLITICAL POSITION" on said issue, in front of the American people, with me. Keep in mind, one of them could become America's next President. If wrong on this important issue what about others they espouse, could some of them be wrong too? By the way, to be "politically fair" the Republican candidates, in my opinion, have not done an adequate job in letting the American people know how they plan to "FULLY FUND" America's entitlement retirement system, as well. In fact, in my opinion, the 6 Republican Presidential hopefuls act like a bunch of "OSTRIHES" with their heads buried in the sand, on said issue. Some extra foods for thought, our elected "15% approval rated bureaucrats" in Washington gave to themselves a very lucrative retirement entitlement benefit. Question, don't you think it is "LONG OVERDO" that 10's of millions of other eligible American workers, (future workers, like you perhaps) who pay their high salaries and their "lucrative retirement benefits", get so-called "G R E E E E D Y" and politically "DEMAND" to be “COMPENSATED" to some degree, likewise? Remember, they "looked out" for their own retirement interests using "our tax dollars" to do it by. It's time those Washington bureau-rats start looking out for our interests, with our tax dollars, don't you agree? I hope what you read next are some words of encouragement. Thus far, twenty or more "strangers" who have let me explain my privatization "TURTLE" account formula to them, in detail, have "FAILED" to find even one flaw that makes my S.S. privatization "TURTLE" account plan “unsafe” or “unwise” for America's workers, like perhaps yourself, to take part in. Thus, are you up to my "CHALLENGE" to try and find the "first flaw" that I can't logically "EXPLAIN AWAY"? You can lead a horse to water – I can only try to educate you on an issue that is costing you, big time financial retirement security", but you can't make him/her drink. - It is now in "your hands" to either "drink the thirst quenching water offered you" by me or just do nothing, and remain politically "informed" yet still "brainwashed" (go thirsty). Unusual summation, "Here I come to save the day; Mighty Mouse is on his way". I'm sure most reading this have no "clue" who "Mighty Mouse" was or was all about. It was just a so-called "super hero" cartoon character who performed feats of courage when called into action to help some other "cartoon character" overcome a problem, "to save the day". August 17th, 2004, I received an offending and criminal letter from the Kronofogdemyndigheten in Landskrona where it said that they were going to deduct 3300 Swedish Krona/month of my pension. They will do everything to make more money. I have a very small disablement pension. It is very difficult to survive with this pension. I live in poverty. If the Kronofogdemyndigheten starts to make deductions on my pension I will be even poorer. What can I give my children, now and for their future? What can I buy for my children when I only have 3100 Swedish Krona/month (after the Kronofogdemyndigheten's deduction) to live for (then I have not counted variable costs as electricity, telephone and TV)? I have a 20-year-old daughter. She studies medicine in Xxxxxx. She needs my support but I cannot give her a penny. Before this I had difficulties supporting her financially. With 3300 Swedish Krona less per month my chances of helping her are even smaller. What can I give to my 13-year-old daughter who lives in Landskrona, here in Sweden? I cannot longer buy her a school bag because of the Swedish Fascists, racists and Mafia bandits who make me poor, sad and disappointed. This is both physical and mental abuse, this is inhuman. These people have no human feelings. They are egoists and materialists. Anyone can understand that this is gross discrimination, violations and incitement to racial hatred, to steal from a disabled immigrant with a pension of 11300 Swedish Krona. With this pension I have to pay 3700 Swedish Krona/month in rent and 1200 Swedish Krona/month in child support. In addition to that I have to pay electricity, telephone and TV. How can I survive with what is left? It is hard to explain with words. I need money to physiotherapy, medical treatment etc. Only massage costs 300 Swedish Krona and I need to go three times per month. A chiropractor costs even more. Even before the Kronofogdemyndigheten's last letter it was difficult for me to pay these sums because of my poor economy. How will I be able to afford it now? After the insulting letter from the Kronofogdemyndigheten I had to cancel my dentist appointment. I have severe problems with my teeth and terrible pains but I cannot longer afford going to the dentist because of the Kronofogdemyndigheten. I have only 12 teeth left in my mouth and they are all loose. The whole mouth cavity is inflamed and therefore I have to see the dentist regularly. In November 2003 I separated from my family. During following 6 months I managed some way to scrape together money to buy a used sofa and a used TV. I have no bed, kitchen table, chairs or bookcase. The first 6 months I slept on an old mattress on the floor. Now I sleep on the sofa but I can assure you that this is also hell for a disabled person. Now because of the Kronofogdemyndigheten I can only dream of a bed, when I am able to sleep. It is not only the Kronofogdebandits who are involved but also the Försäkringskassan (the social insurance office) and the Skattemyndigheten (the tax authorities). At the Försäkringskassan they know how much money during the last 15 years, hundreds-of-thousands of Swedish Krona that has been paid to the Kronofogdemyndigheten. My debt was at the beginning not more that 90000 Swedish Krona but the Swedish bandits know how to manage. I guarantee that they have useful contacts with the 'West European' court and you can see in black and white that there are only West Europeans sitting there. This is why I am forced to turn to the International Court of Justice. This is my last chance. If the International Court does not punish the Swedish Mafia bandits then there is no justice any longer in this world. Great criminal Mafia bandits will become greater and greater and millions of good people will suffer, starve and die because of the Western World's bureaucrats, Fascists and Nazis. As I have mentioned earlier, my income is very poor, but nevertheless I have been compelled to acquire a bigger flat because of my daughter. She should not have to suffer and be embarrassed because her father is poor and cannot give her anything. When she is here she wants to bring home her friends. And because of my illness I also need to have a room of my own where I can be alone when I am in great pain. I know that my pension does not allow me to have a bigger flat but my plan was that if I do not indulge myself anything and if I exclude physiotherapy etc (except my frequent dentist appointments although, after the letter from the Kronofogdemyndigheten, I have to exclude this too) and if cut down even more on my meals then I should be able to manage this rent. Now I do not how I will survive. My rent will be 5700 Swedish Krona/month. I will probably receive some accommodation allowance although it will not be much, perhaps 500 - 700 Swedish Krona/month. If I had had a proper pension as I should have had I would have managed but my pension has not increased. I have complained to the Försäkringskassan but they think that I should manage with a minimum pension. If I had been Swedish I would have received a larger income but we foreigners receive the lowest. When I have moved in to my new flat (that will be October 1st) and the Kronofogdemyndigheten starts to make reductions on my pension, I will only have 1100 Swedish Krona/month left to live for. A joke that is what it is (although I am not laughing). I do not know what to do about furniture. It was difficult beforehand. Now it will be impossible. It is strange; nothing can go right whatever I do. No matter how much I try to save (I eat cheap, I do not make any visits to the doctor etc), still I never have any money. The Kronofogdemyndigheten takes everything. I do not owe them anything but they owe me plenty!! Since I do not have any lawyer who can defend me in this country I ask you to arrange this - lawyer or prosecutor. I will also ask you to see to that this lawyer/prosecutor will contact me as soon as possible so that I can complete the material I have and to send to him/her. Unfortunately there is material that I lack because the Swedish authorities have not bothered to send it to me. There are also documents that cannot be copied because of poor quality as I have mentioned earlier. I demand damages for my health that has been destroyed by 95% by the medical service (sjukvården), the dentist Ingemar Vighagen (Citytandläkarna) and the public dental service (folktandvården), damages for the discriminations and violations that I have suffered by the social insurance office (försäkringskassan), both concerning my pension that has not been raised for 15 years, and for their collaboration with the enforcement service (kronofogdemyndigheten). Unfortunately I cannot send you all my material about the discrimination and violation that I have been exposed of since the material is extensive and I cannot afford to send you everything because of my bad financial position. I have previously sued the Swedish authorities to the antidemocratic, anti loyal and unjust West European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France. The report was made April 2nd, 2003. I had to sue the Swedish criminal Mafia authorities to this so-called European Court since all doors are closed to us immigrants here in Sweden. There is no just court, judge, prosecutor or lawyer. They only work for their own authorities and destroy our lives. My understanding is that they are true Fascists and Nazis. I not only feel that I am discriminated, violated and robbed. I also feel that I live in a society that is oppressing and where we immigrants are treated as the Germans treated the Jews during the time of Hitler. That is why I had to turn to the 'European Court of Human Rights' in Strasbourg. I sent them all my material, facts and evidence. They have shut their eyes and kept quiet for 1 year and 4 months and they have not lifted a finger to help me. Instead they are supporting/co-operating with the Swedish authorities. I feel discriminated and violated. I have lost more than one year and it has cost me dearly, financially, mentally and physically. That is why I am also suing the 'European Court of Human Rights' in Strasbourg for collaboration with Swedish authorities. I have sued the enforcement service (kronofogdemyndigheten), the social insurance office (försäkringskassan), the tax authorities (skattemyndigheten), the public dental service (folktandvården), the dentist Ingemar Vighagen (Citytandläkarna) and the medical service (sjukvården). August 17th, 2004, I received an offending and criminal letter from the Kronofogdemyndigheten in Landskrona where it said that they were going to deduct 3300 Swedish Krona/month of my pension. These violations, criminal acts and discriminations are hard to describe with words. I have lived in poverty during my whole time here in Sweden because of such Mafia bandits, Fascists and Nazis. It is not enough with the hundreds-of-thousands of Swedish Krona that they already have robbed me of. They will not stop until the day I die. What they want is to make a profit on me, just as vampires who suck the blood out of people. If it would be possible they would gladly have drained me of 1 kilo blood per month. They will do everything to make more money. I have a very small disablement pension. It is very difficult to survive with this pension. I live in poverty. If the Kronofogdemyndigheten starts to make deductions on my pension I will be even poorer. What can I give my children, now and for their future? What can I buy for my children when I only have 3100 Swedish Krona/month (after the Kronofogdemyndigheten's deduction) to live for (then I have not counted variable costs as electricity, telephone and TV)? I have a 20-year-old daughter. She studies medicine in Xxxxxx. She needs my support but I cannot give her a penny. Before this I had difficulties supporting her financially. With 3300 Swedish Krona less per month my chances of helping her are even smaller. What can I give to my 13-year-old daughter who lives in Landskrona, here in Sweden? I cannot longer buy her a school bag because of the Swedish Fascists, racists and Mafia bandits who make me poor, sad and disappointed. This is both physical and mental abuse, this is inhuman. These people have no human feelings. They are egoists and materialists. Anyone can understand that this is gross discrimination, violations and incitement to racial hatred, to steal from a disabled immigrant with a pension of 11300 Swedish Krona. With this pension I have to pay 3700 Swedish Krona/month in rent and 1200 Swedish Krona/month in child support. In addition to that I have to pay electricity, telephone and TV. How can I survive with what is left? It is hard to explain with words. I need money to physiotherapy, medical treatment etc. Only massage costs 300 Swedish Krona and I need to go three times per month. A chiropractor costs even more. Even before the Kronofogdemyndigheten's last letter it was difficult for me to pay these sums because of my poor economy. How will I be able to afford it now? After the insulting letter from the Kronofogdemyndigheten I had to cancel my dentist appointment. I have severe problems with my teeth and terrible pains but I cannot longer afford going to the dentist because of the Kronofogdemyndigheten. I have only 12 teeth left in my mouth and they are all loose. The whole mouth cavity is inflamed and therefore I have to see the dentist regularly. In November 2003 I separated from my family. During following 6 months I managed some way to scrape together money to buy a used sofa and a used TV. I have no bed, kitchen table, chairs or bookcase. The first 6 months I slept on an old mattress on the floor. Now I sleep on the sofa but I can assure you that this is also hell for a disabled person. Now because of the Kronofogdemyndigheten I can only dream of a bed, when I am able to sleep. It is not only the Kronofogdebandits who are involved but also the Försäkringskassan (the social insurance office) and the Skattemyndigheten (the tax authorities). At the Försäkringskassan they know how much money during the last 15 years, hundreds-of-thousands of Swedish Krona that has been paid to the Kronofogdemyndigheten. My debt was at the beginning not more that 90000 Swedish Krona but the Swedish bandits know how to manage. I guarantee that they have useful contacts with the 'West European' court and you can see in black and white that there are only West Europeans sitting there. This is why I am forced to turn to the International Court of Justice. This is my last chance. If the International Court does not punish the Swedish Mafia bandits then there is no justice any longer in this world. Great criminal Mafia bandits will become greater and greater and millions of good people will suffer, starve and die because of the Western World's bureaucrats, Fascists and Nazis. As I have mentioned earlier, my income is very poor, but nevertheless I have been compelled to acquire a bigger flat because of my daughter. She should not have to suffer and be embarrassed because her father is poor and cannot give her anything. When she is here she wants to bring home her friends. And because of my illness I also need to have a room of my own where I can be alone when I am in great pain. I know that my pension does not allow me to have a bigger flat but my plan was that if I do not indulge myself anything and if I exclude physiotherapy etc (except my frequent dentist appointments although, after the letter from the Kronofogdemyndigheten, I have to exclude this too) and if cut down even more on my meals then I should be able to manage this rent. Now I do not how I will survive. My rent will be 5700 Swedish Krona/month. I will probably receive some accommodation allowance although it will not be much, perhaps 500 - 700 Swedish Krona/month. If I had had a proper pension as I should have had I would have managed but my pension has not increased. I have complained to the Försäkringskassan but they think that I should manage with a minimum pension. If I had been Swedish I would have received a larger income but we foreigners receive the lowest. When I have moved in to my new flat (that will be October 1st) and the Kronofogdemyndigheten starts to make reductions on my pension, I will only have 1100 Swedish Krona/month left to live for. A joke that is what it is (although I am not laughing). I do not know what to do about furniture. It was difficult beforehand. Now it will be impossible. It is strange; nothing can go right whatever I do. No matter how much I try to save (I eat cheap, I do not make any visits to the doctor etc), still I never have any money. The Kronofogdemyndigheten takes everything. I do not owe them anything but they owe me plenty!! Since I do not have any lawyer who can defend me in this country I ask you to arrange this - lawyer or prosecutor. I will also ask you to see to that this lawyer/prosecutor will contact me as soon as possible so that I can complete the material I have and to send to him/her. Unfortunately there is material that I lack because the Swedish authorities have not bothered to send it to me. There are also documents that cannot be copied because of poor quality as I have mentioned earlier. I demand damages for my health that has been destroyed by 95% by the medical service (sjukvården), the dentist Ingemar Vighagen (Citytandläkarna) and the public dental service (folktandvården), damages for the discriminations and violations that I have suffered by the social insurance office (försäkringskassan), both concerning my pension that has not been raised for 15 years, and for their collaboration with the enforcement service (kronofogdemyndigheten). I also claim damages from the Kronofogdemyndigheten who have stolen hundreds-of-thousands of Swedish Krona from me. Although I have paid everything the debts are still growing and the Kronofogdemyndigheten craves for more. I also claim damages from the tax authorities (skattemyndigheten) for their collaboration with the Kronofogdemyndigheten. I demand that my money will be paid back with damages and interest. My claim for damages including interest is 3,5 million Swedish Krona. Other matters (as for example a raise of my pension) can be discussed at a later time when you have appointed a lawyer/prosecutor. Some documents cannot be completed since the Försäkringskassan does not give me any information about what deductions that have been made to the Kronofogdemyndigheten. That is why the Försäkringskassan must attend the trial and show how much money that has been paid to the Kronofogdemyndigheten. There is one thing I want to mention. I do not accept any lawyer/prosecutor or at all any person from Scandinavia. I want the lawyer/prosecutor to come from without the Western borders: Asia, Africa or South America - an impartial, just person who is against the discriminators, the violators and criminals. True to his pledge, he placed his hand on the Quran, the Muslim book of jihad and pledged his allegiance to the United States during his ceremonial swearing-in. Capitol Hill staff said Ellison's swearing-in photo opportunity drew more media than they had ever seen in the history of the U.S. House. Ellison represents the 5th Congressional District of Minnesota. The Quran Ellison used was no ordinary book. It once belonged to Thomas Jefferson, third president of the United States and one of America's founding fathers. Ellison borrowed it from the Rare Book Section of the Library of Congress. It was one of the 6,500 Jefferson books archived in the library. Ellison, who was born in Detroit and converted to Islam while in college, said he chose to use Jefferson's Quran because it showed that "a visionary like Jefferson" believed that wisdom could be gleaned from many sources. There is no doubt Ellison was right about Jefferson believing wisdom could be "gleaned" from the Muslim Quran. At the time Jefferson owned the book, he needed to know everything possible about Muslims because he was about to advocate war against the Islamic "Barbary" states of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Tripoli. Ellison's use of Jefferson's Quran as a prop illuminates a subject once well-known in the history of the United States, but, which today, is mostly forgotten—the Muslim pirate slavers who over many centuries enslaved millions of Africans and tens of thousands of Christian Europeans and Americans in the Islamic "Barbary" states. Over the course of 10 centuries, Muslim pirates cruised the African and Mediterranean coastline, pillaging villages and seizing slaves. The taking of slaves in pre-dawn raids on unsuspecting coastal villages had a high casualty rate. It was typical of Muslim raiders to kill off as many of the "non-Muslim" older men and women as possible so the preferred "booty" of only young women and children could be collected. Young non-Muslim women were targeted because of their value as concubines in Islamic markets. Islamic law provides for the sexual interests of Muslim men by allowing them to take as many as four wives at one time and to have as many concubines as their fortunes allow. Boys, as young as 9 or 10 years old, were often mutilated to create eunuchs who would bring higher prices in the slave markets of the Middle East. Muslim slave traders created "eunuch stations" along major African slave routes so the necessary surgery could be performed. It was estimated that only a small number of the boys subjected to the mutilation survived after the surgery. When American colonists rebelled against British rule in 1776, American merchant ships lost Royal Navy protection. With no American Navy for protection, American ships were attacked and their Christian crews enslaved by Muslim pirates operating under the control of the "Dey of Algiers"—an Islamist warlord ruling Algeria. Because American commerce in the Mediterranean was being destroyed by the pirates, the Continental Congress agreed in 1784 to negotiate treaties with the four Barbary States. Congress appointed a special commission consisting of John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and Benjamin Franklin to oversee the negotiations. Lacking the ability to protect its merchant ships in the Mediterranean, the new America government tried to appease the Muslim slavers by agreeing to pay tribute and ransoms in order to retrieve seized American ships and buy the freedom of enslaved sailors. Adams argued in favor of paying tribute as the cheapest way to get American commerce in the Mediterranean moving again. Jefferson was opposed. He believed there would be no end to the demands for tribute and wanted matters settled "through the medium of war." He proposed a league of trading nations to force an end to Muslim piracy. In 1786, Jefferson, then the American ambassador to France, and Adams, then the American ambassador to Britain, met in London with Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja, the "Dey of Algiers" ambassador to Britain. The Americans wanted to negotiate a peace treaty based on Congress' vote to appease. During the meeting, Jefferson and Adams asked the Dey's ambassador why Muslims held so much hostility towards America, a nation with which they had no previous contacts. In a later meeting with the American Congress, the two future presidents reported that Ambassador Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja had answered that Islam "was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Quran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman (Muslim) who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise." For the following 15 years, the American government paid the Muslims millions of dollars for the safe passage of American ships or the return of American hostages. The payments in ransom and tribute amounted to 20 percent of United States government annual revenues in 1800. Not long after Jefferson's inauguration as president in 1801, he dispatched a group of frigates to defend American interests in the Mediterranean, and informed Congress. Declaring that America was going to spend "millions for defense but not one cent for tribute," Jefferson pressed the issue by deploying American Marines and many of America's best warships to the Muslim Barbary Coast. The USS Constitution, USS Constellation, USS Philadelphia, USS Chesapeake, USS Argus, USS Syren and USS Intrepid all saw action. In 1805, American Marines marched across the dessert from Egypt into Tripolitania, forcing the surrender of Tripoli and the freeing of all American slaves. During the Jefferson administration, the Muslim Barbary States, crumbling as a result of intense American naval bombardment and on shore raids by Marines, finally officially agreed to abandon slavery and piracy. Jefferson's victory over the Muslims lives on today in the Marine Hymn, with the line, "From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli, we will fight our country's battles on the land as on the sea." It wasn't until 1815 that the problem was fully settled by the total defeat of all the Muslim slave trading pirates. Jefferson had been right. The "medium of war" was the only way to put an end to the Muslim problem. Mr. Ellison was right about Jefferson. Date Posted: 08:29:16 02/20/06 Mon Speaking on the recent attempted coup against Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, President Bush said his administration made known to the plotters that it was "very clear . . . that we support democracy and did not support any extra-constitutional action." Bush's exclamation of ignorance about the coup seemed to borrow liberally from the movie Casablanca, in which Claude Raines, playing the French police inspector, proclaimed how shocked he was at finding gambling in Rick's Bar. The facts do not support President Bush's claim of the United States being an innocent bystander to the constitutional upheaval in Venezuela that began in earnest on April 11. Since last June, the CIA had a U.S. Special Operations Forces field grade officer on the ground in Venezuela to start "rounding up the usual suspects" to support a coup against the irksome Chavez. As soon as the CIA decided on what was in store for Chavez, it was a mere matter of time before Venezuela's business syndicates, pro-U.S. military officers, Catholic Church hierarchy, and selected leaders in the oil workers' unions launched their uprising. The retrogressive nature of the Bush administration, packed with the Iran-contra "stars" like Otto Reich, John Negroponte, and even Elliott Abrams and John Poindexter, sends a clear message to Latin America that America does not countenance leaders who get out of line. Chavez's forays to Cuba, Iraq, Iran, and Libya made him an honorary member of Bush's Axis of Evil. But terrorists and "evil" are not endemic to Venezuela or its OPEC allies. A quick check of Otto Reich's dossier reveals his own close ties to a brutal Cuban terrorist named Orlando Bosch. Reich, who became Assistant Secretary of State for Latin America over the objection of the U.S. Senate and after a recess appointment, while U.S. ambassador to Venezuela, helped pressure the government to release Bosch from jail after being found guilty for masterminding the 1976 bombing of a civilian Air Cubana Boeing 707. The plane blew up shortly after it took off from Bridgetown, Barbados. Ironically, U.S. Navy divers and medical personnel from the small naval facility on the island were called upon to help recover the bodies from the Caribbean. There were no survivors among the 73 men, women, and children on board. With wonderful people like Reich in Bush's cabinet, so much for the laughable "War against Evil." For the Reagan-era members of the Bush II administration it must have been like old times in gearing up for the Venezuelan coup. In scenes harkening back to the days of U.S. support for the Nicaraguan contras and the Salvadoran death squads, the coup plotters began visiting the U.S. embassy in Caracas; the armed forces chief Gen. Lucas Rincon met with the Pentagon's Latin America affairs chief, Rogelio Pardo-Maurer; and the CIA's shadowy network of continually whoring and hard drinking American and foreign expatriates began their mischief making, albeit in the name of counter-narcotics, along the Colombian-Venezuelan border. They were intent on finding trucks crossing the border carrying weapons to Colombia's FARC guerrillas and then blame Chavez. But like the failed coup, the attempt to tag Chavez as a FARC supporter - along the same lines as Hitler branding Poland as an aggressor in 1939 - crumbled. Chavez was not sending arms to the FARC and the CIA lost its chance to create a "border incident." When Chavez replaced the directors of Venezuela's state-owned oil company with his own men, he triggered a trip wire for the Bush administration. Because when anyone threatens the international oil cabal, the Bush people - most of whom are subservient pawns of U.S. oil companies - go into red alert. Days after Chavez shook up Venezuela's oil monopoly, he found himself besieged in his own presidential palace by upper and middle class demonstrators, not the usual people found battling police in the streets. Shortly after being sent to temporary exile on the island of La Orchila, Chavez, a former Venezuelan paratrooper, spotted a civilian executive jet with U.S. markings parked on the apron near his detainment room. And Chavez must have known about the large U.S. Navy carrier task force, led by the USS George Washington, steaming just north of Venezuela. Students of the coup against Chile's Salvador Allende in 1973 are all painfully aware of the key role played by the U.S. Navy is helping that coup along. Chavez must have quickly put two and two together. However, the ultra-conservatives in the Bush administration miscalculated. More extreme rightists within the Venezuelan military forced the interim President Pedro Carmona to dissolve the National Assembly and Supreme Court. Support for the coup quickly faded and even Bush's closest friend, Mexico's President Vicente Fox, condemned it. Washington kept blaming Chavez for all the events until it became clear the plan for installing a pro-business puppet government in Caracas had as much chance for success as Enron's future business plans. As for the CIA, its spokes-puppets claimed any reports that it was involved in the coup were "utter nonsense." Strange that during the coup, one of "The Agency's" top operatives in Caracas sent e-mail to the United States containing upbeat language on the coup's progress, only to be quickly followed by disappointment that the "coup didn't stick." After having his new Latin America policy handed to him in a spittoon, Bush offered Chavez some Forrest Gump-like advice: "When the pressure gets on, leaders should not compromise those institutions that are so important for democracy." Very interesting words from a person, who, lacking a majority of the votes of the American people, took every opportunity in the wake of September 11 to compromise America's most valued democratic traditions. With the Bush administration still spinning "fairy tales" about WMDs in Iraq and pressing for sanctions against Iran and North Korea for their nuclear weapons programs, America's nuclear weapons sites are sitting ducks for terrorist attacks. Although much attention was paid to whistleblowers from DIA and NSA at the February 14 Shays Committee hearing, the testimony of former Department of Energy Quality Assurance Program Manager Richard Levernier was perhaps as startling as revelations about torture and sexual molestation of children in Iraq and massive NSA eavesdropping of American citizens. Up until one year prior to the 9-11 attacks, Levernier was in charge of a team of security experts who tested the security at various nuclear weapons sites. Levernier's troubles began after he witnessed security tests of U.S. nuclear sites being limited by higher authority. Levernier testified, "Among my responsibilities was to devise 'adversary' tactics and perform command and control operations during force-on-force tests at nuclear weapons facilities. These tests pit an outside expert adversary force, 'mock terrorists,' against the site protective force using specially modified laser-equipped weapons to enact an actual armed engagement. Despite artificial limits placed on our ability to surprise defenders and obligations, such as obeying government-posted speed limits, stop signs and OSHA regulations, the 'terrorists' I commanded would win force-on-force tests more than 50 percent of the time, year after year." "These results were extremely troubling, considering that actual terrorists -- who would not be obligated to coordinate their attack schedule with the security forces or to observe speed limits and avoid building ladders and climbing on roofs -- would likely overwhelm site protective forces. Moreover, even the so-called 'wins' were suspect. In tests in which the protective forces 'prevailed,' security forces were often suffering 50 percent or greater casualties or indiscriminately 'slaughtering' crowds of evacuating employees. Yet, all that was recorded after these tests was a 'win' for the contractor protective force." After Levernier sent an unclassified Inspector General report to the media, he was stripped of his Quality Assurance security responsibilities and transferred to a windowless basement storage room in the DOE Germantown [Maryland] building, where is primary job responsibility for three years was to manage DOE's official foreign travel program, an administrative function completely unrelated to national security. Levernier identified critical security problems at Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico; Lawrence Livermore in California; Rocky Flats in Golden, Colorado; Oak Ridge, Tennessee; and Savannah River, South Carolina, among other facilities. However, he encountered something that the late Colonel Ted Westhusing and General [since demoted] Janis Karpinski discovered in Iraq -- the power of politically-connected contractors like US Investigation Services, CACI, and Titan. In Levernier's case, his criticisms of nuclear weapons security ultimately led to companies like Wackenhut and Dyncorp, security firms with historically close ties to the GOP. The outsourcing of America's most critical functions -- from signals intelligence to nuclear weapons security -- to powerful politically-connected firms that repeatedly engage in fraud, waste, and abuse and then cover up their crimes against the American people and the people of the world, is unprecedented in U.S. history.
