It seems in FGTTM serial and shorter movie version, one can hear Zarkov mispronounced or mentioned in hurried like fashion....Zarko or Zarkow, especially by Hapgood. I've also come across this in print on some cheapie bargain bin type dvds/tapes of '36 and CTU!?! Have noticed some identical budget packages at some sites on line.

In my area, in drug stores, kids clothes checkout areas, dollar stores, foodstores, etc, 90% of time if they have FG, its CTU....sometimes with wrong artwork, and maybe with Zarkov mispelled. At times, you'll find a Pt 1 version of '36 serial, or Pt 2, sometime both on 1dvd for same price, or a movie length version.. with yet another movie on it!(dbl feature).

Never saw budget cheapie of Mars. Most common I see is CTU. It was a public domain. Not sure what's what nowadays though. Oh, FYI, Amazon flip flops on Image FG 3pk lately, new between $10 to 15, but much more from third parties. Perhaps Amazon gathering, consolidating stock to sell off. Might be good to get extra if you can at low cost. Still best A/V version around.

Thanks for participating Sgt. Tim. I understand Ming is softening up some re Sgt. Time issue. Seems he's more preoccupied trying to get a makeover for perhaps new FG movie is future. He's a bit rusty I hear and is practicing fire walks, honing his diction eg.. heh, hehs, holding court, and is grooming himself for Dale.

I would guess I have seen more cheapie DVDs of FG '36 around than the others, but some may have been Conquers the Universe sets that I mistook for FG '36 because of incorrect cover art. Like Officer Torch I don't recall seeing any cheapie sets of Trip to Mars.

There are also lots of dollar DVDs of the 1950s TV series floating around, the one filmed in Germany.

Re Emperor Ming, Sergeant Time will be relieved at this news, and will hopefully emerge from hiding. Expect lots of frostbite if he has been holed up in Frigia.

I am sure our Emperor will be looking his best in his traditional robe and collar. He will undoubtedly be looking forward to dining with Dale Arden, but no unruly subjects at the table, thank you very much.

Sergeant Tim
