You can still get Buster Crabbe FG serials. The Image brand ones are available through third party sellers at eg Amazon and eBay, though they may be costly since they've been discontinued. Shop around. They seemed to be the best overall quality, pix and sound, though they were not close captioned or sub titled.

There are independent brands/imports especially since some serials were in the public domain for awhile perhaps....they can be innexpensive running from a few dollars and up, and often, on line S&H can exceed the product price. Results vary widely with these...ranging from mediocre to fair, better, or worse. Pot luck. Sometimes, you'll see them at dollar type stores or in bargain bins.

VCI has a good FGCTU serial and also the Roan Group. Mars is often toughest to get. Hopefully, in time, a mfr will make quality prints AND caption plus sub title all 3 serials.

If you have an ALL REGION dvd player that can play eg PAL Region 2 dvds, there's a trilogy available titled Flash Gordon The Complete Series. It's on Amazon and others perhaps, in 23-28 dollar range for now anyway. Pix and sound varies between serials. FGTTMars is best,(relatively speaking), 1st serial second (ok), and Universe, last serial surprisingly trails far behind. Overall, set is fair at best to me, but perhaps ok if you're not too critical, but you must have correct dvd player.

Note..this is not to endorse, downgrade, or advertise any outfit or seller. Other than being a fan, I have NO commercial interest in this, no axe to grind. I'd like to say however that since the fan base is aging, the serials should be close captioned and/or sub titled...for a broader audience, which happens to be worldwide. For now, do shop around, and beware...you may NOT get all 3 serials in some package deal..it may contain other material, eg episodes from FG TV series from the Fifties with Steve Holland...the later of which may have its own fans, FG cartoons, etc. But do read that what you are getting is what YOU want. Good luck in shopping, and to all the dads out there, enjoy Father's Day.
