Subject: Favorite Flash Gordon moments with bombs

Drum roll and I would not be surprised if some of Ming's soldiers planted them (but got clumsy and blew themselves to atoms!). The High Priest is sitting back and laughing. Heh heh heh.

So many, let's see what comes to mind, in no specific order:

-Ok, good one is the cheat in '36 where FG, and friends, including Aura, but sans Barin (who is thought to be piloting a ship) tries to blast them at entrance to the turret house. Looks like a hit, but they get lucky and go down convenient trap door just inside.

-Well, there are those walking remote controlled robot/bombs the annilhitrons (sp?)attacking FGs group in Frigia. Same serial, those super nasty zotranillium projectiles hurled by Ming which Flash puts out.

-Bombs dropped on Mars by Azura's own death squadron, hitting her as she runs. Despite not a noticeable scratch, she's doesn't make it, and with her dying words, gives FG the sapphire to restore the clay people.

-"Flash, a bomb, a time bomb!" spoken by Barin on radio to warn FG on homeward bound rocketship. Bomb was placed on board by cackling high priest. FG finds it, simply opens door flinging the bomb into outer space.

-"There they are!" reports one of the stratosled crew on Mars spotting Zarkov and Flash running near the Valley of Desolation, who then become frozen by the paralyzer ray gun. Cliffhanger.

-Ming's bombing of Barin's palace in Arboria. Gas bombs.

-etc, etc. Many bombings, shoot-em-ups, aerial battles. These were very early action/adventure films for sure. Crude by today's action flicks, but much excitement, adventure and "wow!" yesteryear. Surprisingly, some still holds up today, especially when one considers the vintage of these films, which were indeed advanced for their time.
