I also like Flash's response to Zarkov's suggestion to fly to Mongo, "That's worth trying", or something along those lines.

The line you cite about the earth being doomed was a relatively fresh concept (in the sense of an attack from outer space) in 1936 but something we hear all the time today.

I also like Zarkov's speech before the audience concerning earth having been visited by beings from other planets in craft that move at the speed of light. FG sometimes isn't great on solid science but this is great sci-fi dialog.
