Ah yes...I remember them well, those younger days teasing the various beasts..the gocko, Urso(teased him with a honey jar), the monkey men (I played dentist) and the orangopoid (again, a dentist). Wow! They were scared and I felt respected...for awhile anyway. I avoided the lizard monsters in the pit....too big, and foul breath down there. I think I went too far though, and use to drive the high priest crazy... I think he might have used his influence with Tao to put a curse on me by placing me in full armor from head to toe, always! But, this got the attention of Emperor Ming, and as time went on, I was promoted ...in fact, I was the first to meet the earth people on their arrival, with "the buckethead" twins, my loyal soldiers. It seems they considered themselves ugly, so they wore those buckets on their heads. Ok by me, so long as they did their job.

As for my nephew, who later on became Captain Torch (4 of your earth years later), I was not overcome with joy. He was never the brightest bulb, in fact...sometimes I'd say he was dim, yet he antagonized some of the beasts to the point of them wilding on the Mongonian populace at times. This did not sit well with me and many residents of Mongo, but Emperor Ming enjoyed his antics. Hence, when I retired (making dioramas of the various kingdoms of Mongo), nephew Torch rose to the rank of Captain Torch. But, he rubbed Ming the wrong way more than once, was called a fool and had other quite stressful times. We did airbrush him out of the Torch family photo album. I've more stories...perhaps another time.
