Four States Fair Parade in Texarkana.......I wanted to give an update on the activities Fri/Sat. Several of the girls are staying at the Clarion on State Line Ave. on Fri night. They are also going to meet and swim in the pool about 6:30pm. We are also going to have pizza. On Sat, the girls need to be downtown by 9:00am. Directions....Take State Line Ave going south. At 7th St. turn left. At the second light (Beech St....the street sign is gone....there is a used car lot on the corner) turn right. At the next block there will be a huge parking lot across from Beech St. Baptist Church. Park in this lot. Walk down Beech St. to Broad St. You will see all sorts of cars, etc. lined up for the parade. Turn left down Broad St. We are float number A44.....we will be a couple of blocks down from Beech and in line.
Dress.......Everyone is supposed to wear their state T-shirt and white bottoms, crown, and banner. Don't bring anything to throw. We are not allowed to do that in Texarkana.
